Here's a shot of a nearby TREE.

Motherwell

Walking on 23rd Street, I suppose I may have had MOTHERWELL on my mind.
And the SNOW continues to melt...

Power Lines

One of the things I love about Jersey City is its power lines and all of the compositions just begging to get photographed.

Moshiach is Here

An interesting billboard seen above the West Side Highway in Manhattan.

Weekend Report

I realize that I didn't post many snow shots this week, so, here we see how deep it got on neighborhood streets in Jersey City, NJ. Down by the HUDSON RIVER, the drifts got high but one could walk without much trouble.
The experts say we got over 26 inches and set a new record for one day of snowfall. Now, it's all just part of history.

Razor Wire Fun

We all know barbed wire. Until I moved to New York City, I had never really seen razor wire. Brooklyn must keep the companies who make the stuff in business.

In Snow

Walking through Central Park, I notice a person in the snow near THE POND. Over near Wollman's Rink, I see a SNOWMAN with a pink balloon. Further still, there is plenty of HORSING around...
CUPID says, "Happy Valentine's Day!

New Jersey Sun Dial

Across from Lower Manhattan, in the fresh snow, we come across a SUN DIAL.
No, I can't tell what time it is...

Java to Paulus Hook, Part X

Our journey now complete, at Paulus Hook, in Jersey City, NJ, we need a triptych to better see the MEMORIAL.

Java to Paulus Hook, Part IX

After going through the Holland Tunnel, I take a gander at the construction site that is Jersey City, New Jersey.

Java to Paulus Hook, Part VIII

So, now, I am in my car, driving through SoHo...

Java to Paulus Hook, Part VII

"Williamsburg Bike"...some assembly required...

Java to Paulus Hook, Part VI

"SYNC: 05"--Now, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we come across some interesting graffiti.

Java to Paulus Hook, Part V

A bit further on past the factory and we look across the East River towards the Empire State Building. Hard to believe we stand in New York City.

Java to Paulus Hook, Part IV

"Ram"--just another gate in Brooklyn...

Java to Paulus Hook, Part III

I turn a corner and walk another block to the last street before the East River. Rust refuses sleep but, perhaps, luxury condos may soon awaken.

Java to Paulus Hook, Part II

A little farther away from Java Street, we see a different tank--I wouldn't do that to you--beyond a playground.

Java to Paulus Hook, Part I

I begin my walk near Java Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Here we see a typical tank.

Blind Crossing

This sign stands up high, on a corner of Sixth Avenue.

Mixed Messages

Driving in upstate New York along Route 9, you come across some roadside humor. Drive another mile or so to see THIS and THIS.

Not So Super

Well, in the Super Bowl, the Seahawks got jobbed and didn't score much. The Steelers played pretty crumby but made just enough big plays to carry the day. I suppose the NFL got what it wanted. Maybe the Seahawks can come back and play better another time.

Super Sunday

Here's a Super Bowl Sunday TREAT for ya. My little sister's former neighbor shoots for the Seattle Times and is in Detroit for the Big Game. Enjoy!

Price of Luxury

Sometimes with Streets, as in Life, you have to hit bottom before you can get better. Here we see major renovation to Franklin Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Looking out a dirty window on 21st Street during a rainy Tuesday afternoon...
